In its life the Trust has only had two rent
rises, and is now letting at below council rates. But despite this, it has managed to help sponsor new
classrooms for the primary school, provide a low-rent home for the Pre-School,
and paid the full rent for the Toddlers Group for three years. It has also sponsored several children
whose parents, due to redundancy, have been unable to pay for them to go on
school study weeks, provided equipment for parents with disabled children plus
an access ramp for a young man who has been paralysed into his parents’ home;
and assisted several villagers with the cost of tertiary education.
It has also helped with the cost of a new mower for the playing field and the children’s play area there.
